I think this might usually be translated into English as "the rainy season," or might it even be the Monsoon season?

Any ideas how the arid seasons in Swahili line up with the traditional temperate seasons?

So, it will accept "heavy rain season", but not "season of heavy rainfall", even though the latter is how it was translated in the previous question?
