Hello everyone!

I am not sure if this has been already suggested here, if so I apologize.

But what about a timed practice that includes the whole content of a language, but that is not limited to 20 sentences?

That way we could practice without any pause, and be really immersed in the language for a long time. Plus, it would be very funny to be able to check how much you are improving by comparing the number of questions that you could answer in time.

I hope I made myself clear. :)

Regards,

Elpeliglota.

yes, yes it has :) and I completely agree with you! I mean it will save clicking the refresh button at the end of the timed practice to practice again :)

it would be great if there weren't consequences to wrong answers in this situation, rather just an explanation and onto the next

That could be an interesting possibility! :) But to be frank, I am actually looking for a serious challenge. :D Maybe we could have both

Also less extra time if you get accents wrong.

Nice idea!

Here is another possible variant: have exactly the same practice sessions (with 3 hearts), but with 100 sentences. Reaching the end would be quite an accomplishment! Also, it should be very easy to implement for duolingo engineers, as it's just reusing an existing feature with only a minor change.

I agree with you. I think we need more options to customize the exercises and challenge ourselves. I love Duolingo, but the practice mode is so limited and I easily get tired of it. I wish it was more like other computer games I play, which i never get tired of precisely because of the options they offer us. :P

Nice, I'd go so far as to suggest variable practice for every lesson also. Just have a practice function where one could set the number of rounds, time available, lesson sets, etc. That way we could do the same thing on every lesson, or just ones we're interested in.

This would be a nice feature, a real challenge! And it most likely doesn't require a lot of investment on the part of the duo team.

A good idea. If implemented, it should probably have a cap on maximum bonus time added (e.g., no more than 30 seconds) as it is often easy to push the surplus time too high, and then answering becomes too leisurely. It might also be wise not to award endless xp, but opinions will certainly differ on that.

Yes! I thought about levels of difficulty, in which more or less seconds would be given per right answer! And a hard level that could be really challenging :)

I don't understand why we still don't have this feature... :(
