what part of the sentence makes "window" plural?

You might have misread the sentence, but "dirisha" is singular (window), and "madirisha" is plural (windows). It's a MA- class noun.

In almost every context I've heard it, "Open" is used in the command form "Fungua mlango" "Fungua dirisha"
