Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Do you have flash cards, fluency and vocal practice when studying Dutch for English speakers?

Do you have flash cards, fluency and vocal practice when studying Dutch for English speakers?

I have none of the above. I've sent a bug report and got no response for 11 days. Neither did the features got active. What else I can do? Anyone there had the same problem or is having it now? Did you find solution?

The "Words" tab is only available for the original/main languages (German/Spanish/French/...), so unfortunately not for Dutch. There is a workaround though:

  1. Switch to a course with a words tab (French, German, etc.)
  2. Open a new browser tab, go on Duolingo and switch to the Dutch course
  3. Go back to the first browser tab and click on the words tab. You should now see the word list of the Dutch course

Fluency is also not available for Dutch, but as the fluency percentage is rubbish that's not really a big loss imo ;)

About vocal exercises, if you're on the web-version go to "Settings" and make sure the microphone-setting is set to On

Thank you Jersebas. It worked! It worked! You are genius my friend! I was hoping someone will copy & paste words for me so I can learn and now I can do that myself! Thank you so much!

I learn German, Spanish, Italian and I can practice speaking in all those language, yet not Dutch. I did check all languages separately if my microphone is on, and it is everywhere. So I am still looking to solve that one!

You can also use Tinycards although there isn't much for Dutch. Someone has created a Memrise course for the Duolingo Dutch course. In the English from Dutch course there actually is a fluency percentage, I don't know why though.

Speaking exercises are only available on Chrome, not on other browsers. And even on Chrome, I believe some people never get them.
