So why is " what is the price of the fare?" not correct?

What is wrong with "how much is the price of a fare?" Pedantic or what!!

why are " bei " and " gani " both here?

bei gani is "what is the price?" so this sentence could also read (somewhat clumsily) "what is the price of the fare?"

bei is "price" gani is "what/which/how(much)"

I also answered, 'What is the price of the fare' and it was marked as wrong.
