Dative/Accusative/Nominative/Genitive

It seems like the program expects you to more or less learn this by trial & error on the go. I understand the desire to do it this way, but I prefer getting those 4 rammed into my mind from the outset, because it is very different from English, or even the Romantic languages. Does anyone know of an external source that's good at teaching you that stuff?
