I was wondering if the Duolingo staff has looked into crowd-sourcing audio transcription. For example, there would be free audio files from the web, and more advanced learners of English would try to transcribe them, with others checking their effort. It's actually really similar to what Duolingo does now, and could be a good money source too (just think of all the MOOC courses that have subtitles), while being a nice way to practice "real-life" listening skills.

www.forvo.com something similar.

Not whole documents though, just words and phrases, and it is aimed at the learner.

Thanks, looks interesting! Although I'd really like the much more powerful approach described above :)
