Lernu and lernu plu- Esperanto weekends for British esperanto learners

Just been to a brilliant weekend of (free) small group learning laid on by the British Esperanto Association.

Take a look at the EAB website and look out for these semi regular events. They are generally held in Stoke on Trent, and you need to fund your own travel and accomodation but the teaching is great and you meet other people at a similar level. http://www.esperanto.org.uk/eab/eab_events.htm

My teacher this weekend was the famous Tim Morley ( see his TED talk) https://youtu.be/8gSAkUOElsg

That sounds great! Bit far for me at the moment, but maybe in the future. Were there many people there?

We had 16 in all plus two tutors. I heard they were thinking about moving around a bit but that has more cost implications.

I attended an Esperanto course in 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have just booked for next February and March. Hoping to attend a meeting in Manchester this afternoon and intend to attend more meetings, as often as possible, in order to practise listening and speaking.
