TED translators

This morning I saw on Facebook a TED transcriber praising the work volunteers can do by transcribing (mostly English, I reckon) and then translating TED talks.

Now that immersion is gone it might be something to consider for people with advanced (!) language skills?

I can recommend that! I've been a TED Translator (EN-NL) for three years now, and it's a lot of fun. And if you are lucky, TED invites you to join TED-events. Last week I was invited to go to TEDxBrussels. I met other translators, did workshops etc.
