It's emakeelepäev (Estonian language day): Estonian Courses
Before we are going to the lesson, let me talk about emakeelepäev. Emakeelepäev aka Estonian language day is the birthday of Jaak Kristjan Peterson (Jacob Christian Petersohn). But why is J.K.Peterson so important? He borned in year 1801, then was Governorate of Livonia in South-Estonian territory. Then people spoke German. But Jaak Kristjan Peterson was the first person, who found Estonian a beautiful language. He also wrote the first poem in Estonian. He studied in Tartu Ülikool. But he died, when he was 21 years old, to a pneumonia. Now to the lesson.
