Why "de la poesie"? Why "la poesie" is not correct?

"la poesie" would translate as "wine is the poetry in a bottle" which doesn't sound right, partitif is natural choice here: "wine is (like some) poetry in a bottle".

I think one could say "le vin est une poésie en bouteille", "wine is a poem in a bottle", or especially "ce vin..." to praise some specific wine.

So did I. It seems to me to be in the nature of a "poetic definition" of wine, and I have encountered many definitions of the form "le + nom + est ..."
