800 Days and My Quiz Scores!
Yay! 800-day streak! Anyways, I already said so much in my previous streak and other random forum posts, so I think this may interest you... my quiz history in French so you can see how much one can improve. And here it is:
4.28/5.0 one week ago
2.13/5.0 seven months ago
As you can see, I pretty much got a 43% on my quiz 7 months ago and then improved to a nice 86% just a week ago. What's nice about the quiz is that you have an idea on what topics you need to improve on even though it doesn't tell you what you got wrong (basically, if you stare at the question for longer than 10 seconds, you likely need to review the material). 7 months ago, I bombed on the past tense, so I kept studying it. A week ago, I was much better with the past tense, but it now had a lot of sports questions that I was rusty on, so now I'm studying that. And sure, the questions are random, so you may get a lot of something you don't know, but don't let that discourage you, as it's just a reminder to relearn that particular topic.
Long story short: Take the quiz and realize what you need to improve on, and you now have a score that is saved to track your progress. I now plan on taking it every month to continue tracking my progress. And please note that I'm studying a lot of languages which slows me down, so many have gotten that delicious 5.0/5.0 on their quizzes who are more concentrated in the one or two languages they are learning.
So, what's your quiz history, and what do you have to work on? If you have no history, take the quiz and share with us what you thought! :-)
Happy language learning! NtateNarin
Great streak! That's almost three years of doing Duolingo-without stopping for one day! PS Is your profile pic taken in France? I've been in the king's palace too :)
Merci beaucoup ShatteredStar! Haha, that's 800 days of doing Duolingo even through many vacations and traveling. And good eyes! Yup, the pic was taken in France. That is me in the glow of the hall of mirrors in the palace of Versailles. :-) I wish you the best in your language learning! :-)
Congratulations on your 800-day streak and also sharing your experience with the Progress Quiz.
Good job! Your test result gives motivation to study languages :) don't give up, next stop is 900!
Thanks Luckysmile3! Haha, I'm not thinking 900, but 1,000. :-) I wish you the best!
