yep, that's correct. most people in Tanzania will just say "mkate shingapi" (a contraction of shilingi and ngapi), while most people in Kenya would ask "mkate ni pesa ngapi?"

Why do we use bei in other stuff and shilingi in others?! Is there a rule of thumb?!
