Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Hi Everybody! Salut tout le monde!

I'm new to duolingo, and it's great! The method to learn is really great. Though, I miss one thing on Duolingo comparing to other sites. I don't really like the translation feature, even if I consider it as important for a lot of people, I would like to see here a feature as on some other sites (and I could be able to leave them to be full time here)

Other sites (as busuu by example) offer you to pratice your writing skill (not your translation skills). You can write on a subject they give you and on some subject you create from scratch and be reviewed by native speakers, I really miss it. And I'd like to be able to pronounce some words and to be reviewed (I know for computer speech recognition, but they don't give you advice how to pronounce a "o" or a "e")

Using multiple sites is always good. For writing, try lang-8.com. You can write an article, paragraph or a few sentences, and then (hopefully native) speakers will correct it. No site can do everything, although Duolingo is trying to get there!
