That should be accepted.

Ok, does putting gebeld in one spot or the other give a different emphasis or change anything else? And is one placement more common?

Yup, it changes emphasis. However keep in mind that in speech clear vocal emphasis trumps word order to indicate the most important part.

Emphasis on tijdens het avondeten

  • Ik word tijdens het avondeten vaak gebeld
  • Tijdens het avondeten wordt ik vaak gebeld

Emphasis on gebeld or vaak:

  • Ik word vaak gebeld tijdens het avondeten

Emphasis on vaak:

  • Ik word vaak tijdens het avondeten gebeld
  • Vaak word ik tijdens het avondeten gebeld (less common)

I'd say the third and fourth examples above are the most commonly used word orders, followed by the first.

You will only use the 2nd order if the emphasis on tijdens het avondeten is important. The same thing applies to the 5th example (it has clear emphasis on vaak as this is brought to the beginning of the sentence), I'd say this one is not very common, the other ones are.

BTW regarding common/less common occurrence: this is purely based on my feeling what the most common/most standard/nicest flowing sentence is, don't read it as the truth, it's closer to a perception. :)
