can log in on laptop but not on iphone

I signed up to duolingo on my laptop. When I try to use the same password etc on iphone, it constantly tells me that I have a wrong username or password. Any ideas?

Are you sure you are using the same username and password? We do not have any other complaints about this.

Yes, definitely. I just tried there. It will work on safari on iPhone but the iPhone app always tells me that my password/username looks wrong. Could duo lingo delete all info related to my account and I could start all over again?

If you change your password on the site, does the new password work in the app?

No. I just tried it there and it didn't work. I think I will just deactivate my account and set it up under a new e mail. Thanks for your help.
