Are kanga wraps and kitenege different?

Different weight fabrics.

We don't need to translate the word Kitenge into English do we? If someone wants to know what it means, telling them "thick cotton wrap" is really inadequate.

Kitenge is now an accepted answer.

It's now the only accepted answer. I typed cotton wrap cuz I didn't know kitenge is now accepted and got it wrong! I should have just typed what I always call it, citenge, which is the word in Tonga.

You are right. Indeed, "thick cotton wrap" is a definition, not a translation.

"A kitenge" should be accepted.

Silly silly......kitenge is heavy cloth

Maybe the English should be accepted as well just for clarity.

Kitenge is a light cotton wrap. My answer should be accepted. Kitenge is not an English word.

I feel like they should just accept "sarong" for all the wrap cloth items.
