Oooh my Turkish heart hoped for a big meal of turkeys and there we get corn... But then 'hindi'(or التين الهندي) in Arabic would have been a cactus fruit .

When I lived in East Africa mahindi - never meant corn, it meant maize. And ugly is not Corn Meal - but Maize Meal
