Skill tree completed

I welcome thoughts on what to do to increase my proficiency percentage now that I have completed the skills tree. Should I continue re-practicing each section? thanks

congrats on finishing the tree!! the fluency percentage is unreliable and inaccurate.

Correct me if I'm wrong but judging by your level I would guess that you rushed through the tree with minimal revisits to each lesson or the use of the strengthen button. My recommendation is to use the strengthen button as much as possible between lessons. My fluency is doing nicely at 53% despite being only 40% through the tree.

Remember to take the fluency rating with a pinch of salt though. It can only measure your fluency against what it has taught you and not in comparison to an expert native speaker. I'm a fan of the fluency rating personally, because me a measure of my progress - even if it is imperfect...

I have been going back to do revisit the lessons. I was able to get through this fast since I took Spanish in high school and college. Always able to get a good grade but never can speak so I will take your advice and keep going back to strengthen daily. Thanks

Forget about the fluency % and move on to more challenging things than Duo to expand your vocabulary and conversational skills.

you can't because there is no longer any immersion

Great job! I also finished mine recently! I would recommend doing the reverse tree, as well as using other websites (like Memrise and Tinycards) to expand your vocabulary.

Try using the flashcards section for a few times every day and do daily practice all sessions several times a day, that might bring it up a bit. As others have said though, the fluency rating really doesn't mean that much. If you want to reach true fluency you will have to combine Duo with other resources. If you're interested, this practice test will give you a better approximation of language proficiency based on the most commonly used European scale. C3 is true fluency. The average Duolingo graduate usually gets a B1, or so they say, I'm halfway through my tree and I tested at A1.2, guess I have a lot to learn : )http://ave.cervantes.es/prueba_nivel/default.html

I should also point out that true fluency usually takes YEARS of study and immersion and lots of money, so reaching B1 through a few months on Duolingo is a pretty good achievement. Those of you who finish your trees in less than a year, and still retain and comprehend what you have learned have every right to be proud of yourselves.

I learned Duolingo French for 4 years, and I completed my French tree in 3-4 weeks. Then I reset it multiple times. Now I am 75% fluent in French.

I'm really confused.

Duolingo's fluency meter is pretty bogus. It is actually is based on a standard memorization assessment algorithm which estimates what percentage of the words in the skill tree are in your long term memory by using a mathematical formula. So it doesn't test true fluency at all. It is a fun way to compare your progress with friends though.
