Sound does not work on Google Chrome

The sound does not work on my google chrome, but it does on firefox. So far I have just been using firefox, but it is a bit annoying since chrome is my main browser. Anyone else having this problem? I dont know if this matters, but I use Ubuntu.

It says everything is OK. Sound used to work when I first started using chrome. This is a problem I have had for about two weeks and only experienced it a handful of times before.

I am having the same issue. The sound manager says that everything is OK and beeps when i load the page.
