Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Does anyone have information about future design tweaks?

When the Duo team first rolled out the new design, there were a few aspects that got a lot of complaints. I know that they've made some adjustments, and I'm wondering if any more are in the works.

For example, the location of the Correct Solutions/Translations, which used to be directly below the answer box. I see the team recently increased the font size, which helps, but I'm still hoping they'll move the Translations back to the old position.

Also, I think it would be nice to be able to refresh individual lessons again, instead of an entire skill. This way, I can work specifically on the words that I know I have trouble with, that the system may not know (a lucky guess can throw off the whole algorithm, it feels like).

Has anyone heard anything about these specific tweaks, or any others in general? Thanks.

Hi nightowl83,

I don't have answers for most of your questions. But, I wanted to address two of your concerns.

You can still go back and practice individual lessons. Just enter the skill hub and click on the individual lesson. It will still open. :) Additionally, the vocabulary tab will be returning in the future. It is being updated.

Next, to type separate paragraphs, press the Enter key twice. [Enter][Enter].

I hope this helps!

Thanks for your help. I cleaned up my post.

I was hoping we'd get a Practice lesson option, rather than just a Redo option. I like that Practice adds in some of the skills from further down the tree (or used too, if I remember correctly). I miss the strength bar for the individual lessons, too.

As a formatting alternative:
[Enter][Enter] = Space between paragraphs (as seen in Usagi's post)
[space][space][Enter] = New line, no space between paragraphs (as seen in this post)
