As you can see, my streak isn't exactly a streak you can brag about. But my longest streak was 54 days.

Still, as long as you practice often that's good.

Whoa lol nice!! Lucky you can go that long, that's commitment there xD

Actually I really like doing exercises while I'm waiting for my favorite video game to load/match me with other players for multi-player. Not commitment, just laziness =P

Well, you want to be a good linguist don't you. Well that's commitment right there!

April 10, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/DovahFerret

Nah. I tried doing a linguistics major in college. Decided I'd rather be a polyglot =)

How do you learn that many languages at once? Is it difficult to remember them? Have they all stayed distinct from one another, or are they starting to blur together?

I'm debating whether I should try to learn French and Spanish at the same time, but worry it'd be too much as I'm already going to college full-time.

April 12, 2017

I space out when I start each one so I can keep them separate more easily, especially the ones that are fairly similar. Also I grew up trilingual, so I think that helped a lot =)

If it is too much, you could just stop one for a while. I did duolingo a couple years ago, forgot about it but then came back to it!

My longest was 20. I'm attempting to beat that with Swedish, and possibly Welsh as well.

I'm currently around thirty. My goal is is to get around 50 while finishing off my Spanish tree!

Good work! As for me, worrying about a streak would just bring added stress right now. :/

April 12, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/DovahFerret

Yeah I hate how much focus there is on the streak tbh. Like, at this point if I lost my streak I'd be devastated. And that's an absolutely ridiculous level of emotional investment in a single website XD

I am learning french and english at the same time. French course has 165 streak and english course has 175 streak (and i lost streak 2 times in english course). I learn french super low, poor me, but i keep practicing. I love to study.
