Hitting the back space by accident
When in a Duolingo lesson it is possible to accidentally hit the back space key and return to the home page, this is infuriating when you've nearly completed the lesson. Is there a way to change this so it only takes you to the question before or by triggering a pop up to ask if you're sure you want to quit? Besides this one problem, Duolingo is fab and I love it!
I was having this problem over at babbel.com, and their customer support told me that it was probably my browser's setting. They explained that when the text field doesn't have the focus, the browser may treat the backspace as a previous page command. They said that I could either make sure the text field has the focus before hitting backspace, or I could disable the browser feature. They sent this link which explains how to disable the previous page option: http://blog.laptopmag.com/disable-backspace-chrome-ie-firefox After disabling it, I'm much happier!
