Translation:Zij heeft medelijden met me.
Interesting that in this exercise 'medelijden' can be translated both as 'compassion' and 'pity'. If someone has compassion on me, I think that is nicer than someone pitying me....the former suggests drawing alongside and sharing in my suffering, and pitying may carry the feeling of looking down upon, or at least not being involved with the person who's suffering, even though you may feel sorry for them.....
