iPad and iPhone not syncing

I started Duolingo Spanish on iPad and app was automatically added to iPhone. But the iPhone does not see or log my work on iPad and asked me to set up a profile. However, it will not accept my email address telling me it is "already in use". It is in use......by me on my iPad. How can I sync the activity?

Just try clicking "I already have an account" and log in.

I worked on iPhone yesterday for first time and do not believe there was any request to sign in. I also do not ever get a sign in request on iPad. Currently on iPhone I have done several exercises and was told that to save my progress i need a profile. At bottom of screen I have option to set up profile or "later". I have turned power off and on for both devices with no change. Any other ideas.....and I have read thru the forums with no luck.

You don't need to make a new account, you just need to sign into your existing account on your iphone. Instead of clicking the button to create an account, you need to find a link labelled "I already have an account".

If you've already made another account, you'll need to log out of it. Go to the clubs tab, then click profile, then settings, then log out.

To log into your account, again go to the clubs tab, then go to profile, then click I already have an account.

That worked......but it is strange that NOW I have the word "profile" at the bottom of the screen......it was not there before. I was just lost in a circle of "work on language steps" or "set up an account". Now it seems to be good. Thanks for the help.
