Poor experience of the Android app

  • 1221

After an update, the app cannot be lauched easily, and I was force to access Duolingo with web and keep making typos(due to the nature of Chinese script, the course in Chinese cannot accept some kinds of typos).

The performance of the English version Android app is getting down since some day the performance of Chinese version is getting better, but now all becomes very hard to launch, just like several months ago.

Hello, I'm so sorry that you're having this problem. :/. I know it doesn't address the android issue, but I'm wondering if I could help with the typos issue on the web. If you're using the web version on your phone, you may be able to add a Chinese language option to your keyboard that you're using. If you're using a laptop or other device, you can probably also add a Chinese option for your keyboard. I added a Latin America Spanish language option on both my android phone and my iPad.

I hope you'll be able to do the same. I hope this helps a little.

I access the web version from my PC, not my phone. There are various Chinese keyboards and I tend to use those base on their shape(not phonetic) and the difference between different input methods are very large, it seems that the Duolingo system cannot list them all.

Ahh. I'm sorry.

Since you're asking for help using the site, could you move this post to the Troubleshooting forum? Your post is likely to get a lot more attention there, because that's where the people who are willing to help with this sort of problem hang out. It will also help keep this forum easy to navigate for those who aren't part of the troubleshooting group.

Don't delete it and create a new one, just click edit, and change the topic from Duolingo to Troubleshooting. Here's a guide on how to move a post:

...and here's a guide on how to choose which forum to post in: [Guide] In which forum should I post my discussion?.

Thanks :)

Hmm this is new, this has never happended to me. I will try to search the net for solutions if i can find anything.
