Is Duo experiencing tech difficulties?

Am I the only one experiencing point problems at the moment? A couple exercises have not been given points, and now my progress on one of the languages has been reversed by two exercises. Is this just a temporary problem that the programmers are working on?

Looking at the Status Page, everything seems normal except a little dip in Tinycards at three in the morning. I'm not sure what sort of a glitch it is, but if you're confident that Duolingo is messing up, you may want to report it. More information about reporting errors can be found here.

Sometimes it also takes the Duolingo servers a little while to synchronize with your lessons.

Thanks:) It did register my exercises at first, and then it 'withdrew' the progress, in effect reversing what I did. Last time Duo went a bit off with tech difficulties, they fixed it relatively quickly. Maybe if we wait a few hours they will get ti sorted out. If the problem escalates or takes longer to get sorted, then maybe a report will be needed?:)

Yes, I would wait a couple hours to make sure that it really is an unknown bug before reporting it. =)

It just reversed my exercises by two again. I can post a screenshot from my phone to show it. It shows an exercise completed with the little yellow flag to show it was completed, then the screen is greyed out to show it hasn't been unlocked. There is an up-side to this... I will know these two exercises REALLY well once the glitch is fixed, haha..

It could be that your mobile doesn't have a 100% totally guaranteed no packets dropped iron clad for sure connection (TM) to the Duo servers.

Try using a PC to do the lessons and see if they stick. I've seen lots of people complain that they used a mobile device to meet their daily goal, only to log in the next day and find their streak has been lost.

So far it has happened about 2/3 times on my pc and atleast twice on my phone. The glitching seems to have stopped for now. 20:40 (GMT +2 time zone)

I was either doing Spanish or French and there was a skill that has around 2 or 3 lessons. After I completed the last one the whole progress reversed back :(

Last time people lost their streaks because of glitches, Duo restored their streaks. I think if any glitches are identified and fixed, your streak should be restored. How many days was your streak?

It was 38 days. I was offered to buy back my streak but I was unable to do that, and I should not have to do that either.

That's one of the 'new changes' that I strongly disagree with. As well as having to pay to keep the ads away (there weren't any ads until recently) (& was nt$94 at first and suddenly jumped to nt$310 - over 3 times the price!). On the mobile version there is the constant interruption of the owl that pops in giving unrelated comments. The owl could rather give language learning tips or grammar rules to help students with languages.

Yeah, I don't like the ads either but I can still understand that they have it. I think the owl's comments are irrelevant too. I can only imagine how it must have felt of losing 1400 days of streak.

The person hasn't lost the streak:) Still going strong:) If I could, I would change the commentary to tips and grammar rules and I would also vastly extend the virtual store. After buying an outfit for duo, the lingots that pile up so fast start to seem pointless (pardon the pun).
