Why is there no classifier for "chai"??
Because in a way, 'chai' itself is a classifier of sorts for what it contains. One also says 'một ly sữa' or 'một ly cà phê' for a 'glass of water', or 'cup of coffee'.
If the bottle is empty, however, it IS một cái chai'.
frustrating no viet keyboard on this device so cannot get accents and am marked wrong
Try installing Unikey. It's a program with a tiny footprint that allows typing tiếng Việt correctly. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now.
Thanks for the idea.
