German fluency percentage up

After a period of stability, my German percentage has, after over 450 days of practice, risen steeply to 63%. Has anybody else notice a sudden steep increase in their fluency percentage in German?

Has anybody else notice a sudden steep increase in their fluency percentage in German?

It seems to happen for various languages. This together with some changes in "un-goldening" speed seems to indicate that Duo is making changes on its algorithm related to measure of our "knowledge".
Let's hope they're correcting issues about words/strengthening/fluency/... that have been reported for months/years. ;)

Have a look to hughcparker's comment in this discussion in Troubleshooting forum. The discussion is about drop down (instead of rise up, for you) but probably two consequences of a same change on Duo's side.

Yes, my German percentage suddenly went up from 47 to 56 while my Italian fell in one day from 60 to 54. In reality, I can conduct a fairly fluent conversation in Italian but none at all in German!

This official (=by staff) explanation could have a link.

Yep, I have been stuck at 50% for months and at some point after I did my 620th day in a row, it jumped to 61%.

That happened to me as well. I've been at 50 for months, and now jumped to 61.

Yes, after being at 48% fluency for quite a while, mine suddenly jumped to 58% after completing a lesson.

Mine for German saw a huge jump: from 49% to 60%. I was going to post something similar in the forums, but this suffices.

No, but I did notice a sudden decline ( 55% to 47%) in Spanish while I was doing some refreshing. Logged in, 55. Two lessons, still 55. Third lesson, suddenly 47.

I am not using duolingo for streaks or lingots, or even some arbitrary fluency percentage (it's a great tool to help me stay familiar), but even so....
