I was wondering if anyone had any french verb learning tips or even links to websites that help people to remember them!
I hope this helps anyone else who is confused!

I think the basic thing is to learn by heart the two auxiliary verbs 'être' and 'avoir', plus a simple verb of the first group (like 'aimer'), in the present tense. The auxiliaries are of course crucial, and the third one will serve as a reference for many other verbs. So here they are:
ÊTRE: Je suis, tu es, il/elle/on est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils/elles sont.
AVOIR: J'ai, tu as, il/elle/on a, nous avons, vous avez, ils/elles ont.
AIMER: J'aime, tu aimes, il/elle/on aime, nous aimons, vous aimez, ils/elles aiment.
