I feel like the English translation doesn't flow very well, "you really want a pie" might work better?
"You very much want a pie" is a perfectly fine English sentence, not sure why that would be wrong
Difference between dorești and vreți (both are want) ???
You cannot "wish a pie" in English. This is a very old English construction. You have to say "you wish for a pie" in modern English.
I would have translated want to vrei instead of dorești.
