BTW, the removel of your profile feed also kills any motivation in doing public xp contests anymore

Since you can't really verify how the user received the points, and test outs are a big issue....
This is something I would not do now anymore, but just privately with trusted friends, if at all. So anyone who disliked them should be glad.

Yes, you can see it this way. It was meant to cheer you up.

Only if you mandate that they can't use testing out and the like... You can still see how much XP people have gotten.

Since this makes a very unfair and effortless advantage, it would be pointless to participate, and it would not contribute to actual learners, who are really there to learn, and not just waste their time.

You can't have fun when the game is rigged from the get go.

Pretty much. I myself wouldn't even think it's needed to be explicitly mentioned in the rules as forbidden, but from personal experience, in a few contests, there was always someone who thought this is ok to do to get a leg up, even though everyone else was working very hard.

I would only trust serious learners with at least 10,000 to 20,000xp in their profile, because it demonstrate that their prime motivation is learning and not winning a stupid game just because they can win something.

Are they planning another way to communicate? Because if the forums are the only place you can ask questions or contact others then it will become a mess
