"Mae'r dail yn cwympo yn yr Hydref."

Translation:The leaves fall in the autumn.

I tried "The leaves fall in autumn.", which was rejected in favour of "... in the autumn".

Are "in spring, in summer, in autumn, in winter" not possible in English, or is this just a missing alternative?

(In my other language, German, the article is mandatory: it's always "in THE autumn" etc. -- presumably in Welsh as well, then?)

'the' is not always used in English; it seems to vary. We'll have a look at the answers in the database.

In Welsh it is usual to say yn yr haf, etc.
