Does the Esperanto course have speaking exercises?

I've started learning Esperanto on the PC and have done the Basics 1, Basics 2, and Phrases skills and I haven't encountered any speaking exercises. Are there none or are they gonna start later in the course? Or maybe other reasons like a mobile only feature.

No, unlike some of the other languages on duolingo there are no speaking exercises on the esperanto course. ( pc or app) Once you have done the course there are other ways of practicing speaking ( if you don't have a local group or the ability to go to a meet up) ekparolu for example.

Thanks. Is there a way of knowing which languages have speaking exercises?

Mostly just the very early courses ( german, italian, spanish etc) to be honest they are not very good as the speech recognition is pretty glitchy, refusing things said perfectly and accepting things done poorly sometimes. I recommend learn what you can from duo, repeat the words said in the lessons out loud, read the other phrases out loud as well then when you have a basic handle on the grammar and the words find real live people to actually speak with.

It's not clear to me what you mean when you say "speaking exercises." What are you looking for?

He's talking about those exercises where we see a sentence and Duolingo asks us to pronounce it in the target language.

You have to have the microphone on and its only in some languages....german has it in the app anyway....not very useful though.

It should look something like this but the screenshot is for Swedish. http://i.imgur.com/IB8YHzn.png I used to get that back when I was learning Spanish but commenters in this thread said some languages don't have them, including Esperanto.
