Number of hours spent on Duolingo?

Well, I was just looking at the effectiveness of Duolingo study (https://www.duolingo.com/effectiveness-study) where it says that 34 Hours of Duolingo == 1 university semester of Spanish and it made me wonder how many hours did I spend on Duolingo. Does Duolingo keep track of how much time do users spend here? Would be a cool thing to know :)

I was in the study. Duo kept track of how many hours we put in, and they had a minimum of so many hours a week - I forget how many. The evaluation was based on a written pre- and post test, and I take it with a grain of salt, considering the lack of conversation with Duo, and the fact that I know people with 2 years of college Spanish that can't order a taco from a street vendor. ;)

That's quite interesting! I presume it would be the same for all languages as well?

Would love to know what date I joined so I could work out how long I've been using Duo. Is there anywhere where you can find out?

Yes, you can! :-) Hover over your username in the menu, then choose "Settings", and then on the right, choose "Profile". You will see "Learning since..." Did you find it?

Yes, I did! Learning since 31 July, 2013. So have done quite well in seven months! Thanks for answering my question. ;-)
