German news in a simple language

Hi! I would like to recommend the site "Nachrichtenleicht" to everyone who is learning german. The site publishes news items, but does so in a much more simple language than the other established german medias.
It is updated weekly every friday, presenting about ten articles regarding the most recent events.

Link to the site here:

Happy learning!

Deutsche Welle also has the Global News Langsam podcasts that are daily updates. Langsam - slowly. Also in the podcast information is the entire transcript of what is being spoken.

Here is an example...

Excellent idea! My biggest problem when learning a language: keeping up with a fluent speaker and only being able to pick out a word or two every so often even though you feel you should be able to follow more.

Now if someone would just do this for Esperanto. (And Chinese, and Japanese, and . . . )
