Progress bar not working with newest download

I started to use my Welsh and Irish lesson App last night (240th straight day) and the progress bar was not working. Did my lessons on both languages and then tried again this morning. A note appeared that for $9.99 I could reinstate my consecutive days of lessons so I paid the $9.99 and tried to do my Welsh and Irish lessons for today (thinking I had reinstated my consecutive day streak) but when I did my lessons this morning the progress bar was still not working. So I don't know what is wrong with the App. and whether or not I've been incorrectly charged the $9.99? JJPugh

Hi! If you update to the latest version in the App Store (5.0.19) the issue with the progress bar should be fixed :) As for the $9.99 charge if you feel that you were wrongly charged you can reach out to the App Store for a refund. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I was working on my lesson for a good 10 minutes before I realized I wasn't progressing. Getting update now. I suggest this gets communicated further out, or made a mandatory upgrade. Thanks for getting a fix out quickly though.

The progress bar is also not working on my iPad.

I have tired my account and my son's account.

My eldest son would always do duolingo on his laptop. He had an android emulator installed since he preferred the app version over the website. Duolingo has completely stopped working on his android emulator.
