Since we are introduced to both "punt" (pounds money) and "pwys" (pounds weight) in the same lesson block, how does one know which is meant when asked to translate just "forty-five pounds"? I answered "pedwar deg pum pwys" and was told that this was wrong.

In fact, in this unit pwys is only ever used in the phrase y pwys meaning 'per/a/the pound'.

We are improving the clarity of phrases like this as we work on the next version of the course.

Why won't it accept the vigesimal numbers?

The older style of vigesimal numbers is becoming less commonly used in colloquial Welsh, so we do not cover them in any depth on this course.
