My students are getting friend requests from "hotteacher" :(
Can someone please tell me what to do to protect my students' privacy? I went to the classroom privacy settings and disabled the feature, but they are still getting requests.
I would report abuse here: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Other than that, tell your students not to click on the link. I think it's a spambot.
In addition to the comment of QuadraticLingual:
Users with a recent account don't have the possibility to block people.
Your students can turn off their email notifications in
I recommend to turn off "Somebody friends me"
@sralynch, please forward any email notifications the student may have received to firstname.lastname@example.org, as this should have stopped and we will need to investigate. Meanwhile, make sure you turn off the social features your students' privacy settings, and, just to be extra safe, have your students disable notifications for new follow requests.
My students are still getting these. Is there a way to block this as the teacher? It needs to be secure. If not, I will not be able to use duolingo anymore in class.
Turn them off on the classroom account (click on the words "privacy settings" that I put in my previous comment and it should show you how to get to your classroom settings page) -- the second link I added for extra extra safety.
