OTHER WEBSITES/APPS TO AID YOUR LANGUAGE LEARNING

  1. Memrise: My current favourite language learning tool, this memory based website/app drills the words into your brain and the courses are so much better designed than Duolingo ones for just casual conversation (when am I going to talk about classical music????)

  2. Busuu: This is a good language learning device and to a extent it is free, but it is only good for learning languages that share the latin alphabet. Their Japanese course was a disaster when I did it, it expected me to memorise every character immediately when it gave you a phrase and never introduced you to the characters.

  3. Hellotalk: this app is great for intermediate learners, when I use it I make sure that the other person is higher in English than I am lol. Great to actually speak to native speakers and the community is very good.

Put more in the comments to help language learners!

Free Rice helps. You should know some of your target language first though. It's a studying tool and for every question you get right, it donates 10 grains of rice to the hungry.
