This is a popular Galician saying which states that you can never rely on the weather, and until well past May you can’t take off your coat. That is, although a day can seem warm, like there’s plenty of sun, you can’t rely on Galician weather, it can start raining, and as the day goes on it can turn into a monsoon without giving any indication.

This week our aim is for you to learn to defend yourself with very basic Galician words, thus we’ll introduce a varied vocabulary in which we’ll include indefinite articles, numbers from 1 to 10, the days of the week, and the months. You’ll see that some months are very similar to English, and this vocabulary will be very easy and simple.
