Swedish movies?

Hi there!

I'm a native Dutch speaker trying to learn Swedish :) I think it's a very beautiful language, I've never been to Sweden but would really like to go there. So I promised myself a trip there when I'm somewhat fluent (or at least know how to survive there, without speaking English haha). I also work at Ikea so it's really fun to find out that the names of the stuff we sell actually mean something (random words like 'jordgubbe' for a pot as an example).

But anyways, I need some more practice. I usually learn way faster when I watch movies or hear people speaking the language. That's why I was wondering, can anyone recommend me some nice Swedish movies (where they preferably speak Swedish, haha) so I can practice my skills and enjoy a movie at the same time?

Would love to hear from you!

Eva :)

Good suggestion! Kids' programs have easier language, Pippi is a cultural icon and it's funny. And thanks for the link! "Aja baja, det är farligt att dricka spunk!"

Ahh thanks that's a good one! I really loved watching Pippi when I was younger, it's a bit of a flashback haha. The quality of the clips on the website you mentioned is great, unfortunately I'm not yet at the point where I can understand it without subtitles.. Do you perhaps know a place I can watch the Swedish version with subtitles (preferably in English)? Thanks :)

They have subtitles in that site, but they are in Swedish.
