Streak loss danger....?

I currently have a 36 day streak - I know it is not that big, but I would still like to keep it - and I will be leaving for someplace that does not have Wi-Fi. I do have the Duolingo app on a different device, but if I do some learning on that, will it count for my streak? Will I still be able to have a 36 day streak or more?

Caution - using the app keeps the streak going //if// you log on via a connection that same day - it will lose your streak if you are using the offline mode and remain offline.

Perhaps the new paid-for offline mode will restore it when you eventually sync, but I've not heard this to be the case.

Thank you for telling me that! Essentially, that was the question I was going to ask, but I didn't know how to word it.

Yes, using the app does count for your streak. You can purchase a streak freeze which will keep your streak for one day of inactivity, and for the past couple of weeks the app has offered a special streak freeze that works for a whole weekend (or at least it's been offered to me, I don't know if it's consistently offered to everybody, and I'm not sure how many days it counts as the weekend).

I do have a streak freeze for 1 day, but I have never heard of the weekly one.

I've only seen it on the app and it's called something like the "special weekend amulet"
