I Have An Amazing Club! Tunapenda Kiswahili Sana!

I recently made a club on Duolingo for Swahili learners that you guys will love. It's called "Tunapenda Kiswahili Sana". Translation: "We love Swahili a lot". We are a motivated and active group with a growing number of members. The competition between users is really fun. It's the first club that I've really enjoyed so far and if you're looking for a great club to join and have other people like you learning along your side, Tundapenda Kiswahili Sana is the right club for you! I'd love to see you there!

Code: MGUT5Y

Everyone should feel welcomed to join!

Asante sana na nitaonana baadaye!

I remove people from the club who are inactive, leaving available spots for new members available every now and then. Currently, we have a large number of spots available, so join while you can!

What's a club?

If you have the app, you can join a club where you see what your friends are practicing and stuff and you can compete to be on the weekly leader board.

Ah, I have the app but it tells me Swahili is not available on the app. It's an old version of the app and my phone won't let me update anything because...ah,long story. Anyway, have fun in your club. :-)

Oh. I am sorry for that. Bahati vizuri!

I have the same problem--my Windows phone lags behind other devices for getting Duolingo courses. It still tells me Swahili is not yet available. :(

I think your publicity has worked well as the system tells me the club is full. Enjoy your learning!

May 9, 2017

Really? I didn't know it could meet capacity, so I guess I'll have to remove people who are inactive for long periods of time. Thank you.

May 9, 2017

If you want to join still, there are more available spots currently

May 9, 2017

Cause some people have been inactive for a while

May 9, 2017

Thank you - that worked! Sorry BenUserName that you can't join at this time. You contribute a lot to discussions.

How do you access the club?

May 27, 2017

OK: To join one of these "clubs" I'm supposed to go to and enter the "code" provided. This is what I did. It asks for a "classroom code." I entered both MGUT5Y and then C7UH9T. In each case, it immediately informs me that "This code does not match any classroom." It offers the suggestion that I doublecheck what I typed. This is the point at which I am at present with regard to these clubs which I have been welcomed to join.

I joined! Wish there was a chat feature for the club.

What code did you use?

June 5, 2017

I didn't use a code. I just hit clubs and randomly joined this one haha

How can i join?

November 6, 2018

You can't: I just tried and it's full. Anyway, the way to join is to tap the Clubs link on the bottom of your screen, and to enter the club code given above by Daphne (this is how it works on my iPhone).

Maybe Daphne can kick out a few inactive members, and let us know?
