why does your discussion come up as an error
I wrote a new discussion and within five minutes I try to go back into it and it says that it is an error but I know it did not have that many downvotes, could you please tell me why?
Just guessing, but you've written several posts/comments in the last couple of days asking for followers and friends. That's not really helpful to anyone trying to learn the language. It just clutters up the discussion forums. So, the new discussion you're talking about may have been removed by a moderator.
Some people focus on getting lots of followers, but following others is what helps motivate you to do better. When you are following people, they show up on your Leader Board on your home page. You can see how many XP they have earned, and you can try to get more XP than they do.
I noticed that in another comment on this discussion, you said
I wanted a group of friends so I could have someone to ask a question to or help answer one
That's what the discussion forums are about. Asking and answering questions, getting and giving help. You don't need a special group to do that, and discussions that are limited to a specific group (e.g. "Mrs. Jones' 6th period Spanish class post here!") get deleted because Duolingo, and its discussions, are open to everyone.
I see it too. because the discussion went to -5, too many people do not like your last comment "friends". ( hey ! I give you +1 ! I help you ! )
thanks, I wanted a group of friends so I could have someone to ask a question to or help answer one and I am glad you are in that group, thanks for following.
Some free advice instead of asking for followers provide useful answers to questions and people will follow you. Heck I'm not even sure how useful all of my answers are and I have followers. Also until duo replaces activity following isn't all that helpful so don't obsess over it
