Why is 7:15 wrong?

You are supposed to write the words you are learning

I answered the same, and got it wrong as well.

That's the easy way to show time. DL probably wants us to use the Romanian translation.

How would a native say this in English as a direct translation? "It is hour seven and a quarter"?

Exactly. Quarter of hour that is which is implied.

It is a quarter past seven

I'm guessing actually "It is THE hour seven and a quarter", assuming 'ora' is 'the hour' and 'oră' would be 'hour'? But I haven't learnt that yet for sure so it is just a guess....

"It is a quarter after seven" should be accepted too.

Agreed - but it is still marked wrong.

The ❤❤❤❤? why it's so confusing?

It is seven fifteen. Is 100% correct. The only question in the USA or Canada would be AM or PM. Why did I pay for PLUS?? It’s a waste of $$$$.
