"Rheda!" is another word where the audio seems to be putting the emphasis on the last syllable. Yet there is no accent (e.g. "casáu") to mark the changed emphasis. Might I have some feedback please? Thank you.
The accent is on the last but one syllable (the first in this case) as usual. If the automated voice is not doing that then it is just a glitch in the software over which we have no control.
To my ears, it sounds as if the first syllable is the one being emphasised, but the second one is a little loud for some reason.
Mmm, on my computer the last syllable was very much louder. Content to know it was just a glitch. Thank you.
Now I'm wondering about the concept of emphasis in contrast to volume. Maybe the computer can do it, but after having tried repeatedly, I don't see how a person can pronounce a less-emphasised syllable more loudly than an emphasised syllable.
