When working on a document in immersion, try to help get the whole thing done.

I think it must be a matter of taste and personality. Some of us like to check out articles here and there, translating a few sentences along the way. Others (unfortunately me), will stay until the last dog (in this case the last article in the bibliography) is hung. It can be devastating to your ability to progress, as practically no-one has the stamina to follow you through and upvote those tedious items. Now I translate a few sentences here and there in the morning, and work on my chosen main article as an evening activity- right through to the end.

I just say that for the uploaders, so they don't have to wait 3 months to get their document translated. I tend to have 3-5 documents that I switch around from. But you bring up a good point.
