Would a Dane say "Der er meget glat på vejene." instead of "Vejene er meget glat." or "Det er meget glat..."?

You could say all three but Vejene er meget glatte is most common.

What difference is there between "Der er meget glat." and "Det er meget glat."?

Der er meget glat → More general. For example if I were sitting in my house talking to someone about the slippery roads outside, I'd say this.

Det er meget glat → Specific. For example, if I just washed the floors I would say this. Or if I'm referring to a specific road.
