A more proper English sentence is "Today is Sunday."

Неділя sounds like: "neguilia". Shouldn't it be "neDilia"? Because of de D=Д sound!

English D and Ukrainian Д are not the same, especially in this case, since the Д is palatalised ("soft"). You may find it useful to listen to examples of the sounds of single letters (and try to imitate them accurately). If you try to map every Ukrainian sound to a sound with which you're familiar in your native language(s), your pronunciation will always be "foreign" (and distracting to native speakers of Ukrainian).
